# Data Catalog

> Browse exportable markets in the 0xArchive Data Catalog, check each data type's coverage and price, and find export markets and coverage in code.

The [Data Catalog](https://0xarchive.io/data) is the web app where you browse every exportable market and build a Bulk Exports order. This page describes what its screens show. To place an order from start to finish, follow the [Bulk Exports quickstart](/exports/quickstart).

## Find a market

Search by symbol (for example `BTC`, `SOL`, or `xyz:CL`) or browse a category. Markets cover Hyperliquid perpetuals, Hyperliquid Spot, HIP-3, HIP-4, Lighter, and Lighter on Robinhood Chain. Each market lists its venue, coverage, and data types, and **Start Order** opens its catalog page, where you choose what to buy.

Lighter on Robinhood Chain markets use the exchange key `rh-lighter` in the symbols feed and in export orders, with USDG-quoted perps such as `BTC` and spot pairs such as `AAPL-USDG`. Keep them apart from Lighter mainnet markets with the same symbol text.

## Browse by category

The catalog groups markets into curated categories:

| Category | Website slug |
| - | - |
| Popular exports | `popular-exports` |
| Equities | `equities` |
| Crypto | `crypto` |
| Commodities | `commodities` |
| Indices and FX | `indices-fx` |
| Pre-IPO markets | `pre-ipo-markets` |
| HIP-4 | `hip4-outcome-markets` |
| Hyperliquid | `hyperliquid` |
| Lighter | `lighter` |

Category pages list the same markets as the full catalog with a narrower filter.

## A market's catalog page

* **Select data schemas** lists the data types the market has: L2 order book, L3 individual orders, L4 order-level book, order events, trades, funding, open interest, and liquidations, depending on the market. Each one shows the first date it is available, and the selected ones show their columns, rate per GB, and minimum. [Export schemas](/export-schemas) has the full matrix.
* **Select date range** offers 30D, 90D, 1Y, All, and Custom. All dates are UTC. The range starts no earlier than the latest first date across the selected data types, so clearing a narrower data type can reach further back. Settled HIP-4 outcomes stop at their settlement date, and live markets default the end date to today.
* HIP-4 outcome markets add a choice of event and side: both sides, Yes only, or No only.
* **Add to Cart** shows the price for the selection. If the market is already in the cart, the button reads **Update Cart** and replaces that line.

The cart lists each market with its data types and dates, then the subtotal, export credits, any volume discount, and the total. **Review order** opens the review page, where **Confirm & Pay** places the order. Each order then has its own order page in your dashboard; [Checkout and delivery](/export-checkout) covers payment, order states, and downloads, and [Order records](/guides/export-historical-data) has a template for keeping a record of an order.

## Catalog page URLs

Open a market from the Data Catalog and copy its current browser URL. Canonical catalog page URLs begin with `/data/hyperliquid/` or `/data/lighter/` and include the market type. Do not construct a URL from a symbol, because HIP-3 builder names and HIP-4 event identities need more context than the symbol.

## Find markets in code

The symbols feed lists current symbols and coverage for code that builds a market picker or plans an export. It does not create an export.

Call `https://api.0xarchive.io/v1/symbols`. The response is an object with a top-level `symbols` array. Use each row's `exchange`, `symbol`, `slug`, `data_types`, and coverage fields. Do not use website-local paths such as `/api/v1/*/symbols`; only the public API URL above is supported. The symbols feed is not part of the generated OpenAPI REST reference.

The feed returns rows for `hyperliquid`, `spot`, `hip3`, `hip4`, `lighter`, and `rh-lighter` (Lighter on Robinhood Chain). Useful fields on a row:

| Field | Use |
| - | - |
| `coverage_by_type` | The earliest valid date for each schema, by coverage key (`orderbook`, `l3_orderbook`, `l4_orderbook`, `l4_orders`, `trades`, `funding`, `oi`, `liquidations`) |
| `size_per_day` | A rough export size before you request a quote |
| `coverage_to` | The last date of a settled market; live markets without it default the end date to today |
| `is_settled`, `is_active` | Settled and active state for HIP-4 outcomes and delisted markets |

For active markets, `coverage_to: null` means the market is active. It does not mean that all current-day rows are finalized.

To work out the dates a market's catalog page will offer, the same way the Data Catalog does:

* A schema is available when the row's `data_types` includes the schema key or its coverage key. `l2_orderbook` maps to `orderbook`, and `oi` can appear as `open_interest`.
* The first date for a schema is `coverage_by_type[schema.coverageKey]`, or `coverage_from` when that entry is missing. For Hyperliquid perpetual and Spot `trades`, the catalog moves an earlier date up to 2025-03-22.
* With several schemas, or several HIP-4 outcome sides, selected together, the range starts at the latest coverage start among them.
* A settled HIP-4 outcome ends at `coverage_to`; a live market ends today.

The quote is the final check: it refuses dates before the export start dates listed under [Dates you can order](/export-schemas#dates-you-can-order), even where the feed shows earlier coverage.

## Check freshness before you buy

A range that ends today holds the rows received up to the moment your export is built. Most exports are ready in a minute or two, but that is processing time after the order is paid, not a promise about how current the data is.

To see how current a market is before you buy, call `GET /v1/data-quality/coverage/{exchange}/{symbol}` with `from` and `to` set to your range in Unix milliseconds. For the data type you plan to buy, `latest` is the newest row available and `gaps` lists any missing intervals inside your range. If `latest` is earlier than you need, or `gaps` overlaps your range, change the range before you buy. [Data quality](/data-quality) explains how freshness and gaps are measured, and the [data-quality API reference](/rest-api/data-quality) describes the response.

The response names data types differently from the Data Catalog:

| Data type in the Data Catalog | Name in the coverage response |
| - | - |
| L2 order book | `orderbook` |
| Trades | `fills`, or `trades` for Spot |
| Funding | `funding` |
| Open interest | `open_interest` |
| L3 individual orders | `l3_orderbook`, Lighter only |
| L4 order book | `l4_orderbook` and `l4_checkpoints`, Spot only |
| Order events | `l4_orders`, Spot only |

There is no equivalent check for liquidations, for L4 order books and order events outside Spot, or for any HIP-4 market. For a Spot market, pass the wire-format coin, such as `@107` or `PURR/USDC`, as `symbol`.
